            Towards Harmonizing The Activities of Health Professionals

Plans are under way to harmonize the activities of different health professionals in the State and end the intermittent crises that arise in the sector.
The chairman of the Nigerian Union of Allied Health Professionals, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital Nnewi Chapter, Mr. Charles Nwoye made this known to newsmen in Awka.
The Union is an umbrella body for health professionals, excluding those belonging to the NMA and Nurses, with the objective of bringing those with similar work conditions to address their challenges together.
Mr Nwoye noted that the Union functions as a single mouthpiece in government negotiations, trade negotiations, policy matters among others, saying that they hope to hit the ground running with the maiden edition of its annual symposium on the Agenda f a crises free health sectors coming up on Thursday.
The Union Chairman explained that the symposium will address the various challenges confronting health professionals in calling on all concerned to endeavour to come for the went at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Teaching Hospital Nnewi.
While commending the progress made so far in the health sector of the State by the Obiano administration, the woman leader of the Union, Mrs Chin here Adiri said that more needs to be done in order to end the crisis in the sector, such as strike actions, among others.
