By Anthony Chukwuemeka Eri

In an intensified effort to amend broken ties and foster stronger relationships, the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Anambra State, Mr Ernest Ezeajughi has appealed to aggrieved aspirants and party faithful in Orumba to work harmoniously with APGA Candidates at all levels so as to ensure a flawless victory in the forthcoming 2023 general election.

Mr. Ezeajughi made the call at Awgbu, Orumba North LGA where a large number of key Orumba APGA Stakeholders, honoured his invitation.
He stated that the purpose of the meeting was to form a family bonding, encouraged everyone to voice out their grievances and come up with workable solutions that would be in the interest of all.

He asked  them to support the commitment of the Soludo-led administration in delivering on its campaign promises.
Said he; "Mr Governor, Prof. Charles Soludo sends his appreciation to the 31 towns that voted massively for him during the last Anambra gubernatorial election. He is impressed with the number of votes that came from Orumba.

"It is also instructive to say with all modesty that before being appointed as the Chief of Staff by Mr Governor, I had been very active in APGA as well as other activities concerning the State. I was APGA UK Chairman for 3 years, Chairman Vision 2070 UK and Europe, DG Soludo Campaign Diaspora".

The Chief of Staff charged all the Presidents-General, Councillors and Ward Chairmen to mobilize and ensure that Orumba Indigenes collect their voter's card, urging all the APGA candidates to work together with aspirants that lost out in the primaries.

Reacting to the demand for Governor Soludo to give political appointments to some Orumba Indigenes, the Chief of Staff stated that the previous administration spent so much, monthly on salaries for appointees which the State can no longer afford because of lean  State resources coupled with the excruciating enconomic situation bedeviling the country.

"The present government is concentrating on youth empowerment as well as providing essential infrastructure that will impact on the lives of the people, thereby boost economic activities in the State. To this end, government will spend N50 billion on roads this year and another N50 billion next year on roads and other critical infrastructure", Mr. Ezeajughi added.

In their separate responses, Chief Ben Oranusi, a former aspirant for House of Representatives harped on the need to maintain unity as one Orumba and thanked Mr Governor for the appointments given to some indigenes of Orumba assuring that in the forthcoming elections, APGA will emerge victorious in both the State and Federal Level.

For the Transition Committee Chairman Orumba South, Hon. Neville Uchendu, if the principle of divide and rule is applied, APGA won't win the forthcoming election, saying that with forgiveness for one another, APGA will win the election.
He advised Sir Eric Kanayo Eze, the APGA Flagbearer for Orumba North and South Federal Constituency to work together with his co-aspirants.

The APGA Candidate, Orumba North and South Federal Constituency, Sir Eze said he was elated with the decision for Orumba North and South to come together to form a formidable force going into the election and pleaded with everyone who is aggrieved to come onboard and fight together so that APGA can win comfortably.
